Safari Overview
To the northwest of Botswana are Okavango Delta and Linyanti Wildlife Reserve. Both areas are renowned for their predators and large concentrations of game, particularly elephant in the Linyanti. Jao offers a quintessential Okavango experience and Mombo is Africa’s finest wildlife region, a highlight on any trip.

The Linyanti Wildlife Reserve is a 275,000 acre private reserve on Chobe's Western boundary. Linyanti offers a very different experience from the Okavango and is an important destination for travelers seeking a more varied and balanced experience of Botswana. There are three main features of the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve: the Linyanti River, Savuti Channel and the woodlands of the interior. Two thirds of the famous Savuti Channel is in this private reserve and guests are able to view abundant wildlife privately and exclusively. The last stretches of Africa's Great Rift Valley divide the forest, rivers and floodplains of the Linyanti and it is along this ridge that one experiences great masses of wildlife.

Kings Pool Camp is located in The Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, a private game reserve in the northern part of Botswana, on the western boundary of Chobe National Park. Kings Pool overlooks the oxbow-shaped Kings Pool Lagoon and the Linyanti River to the north. There are good populations of Impala, Lechwe, Kudu, Zebra, Giraffe, Sable, Waterbuck, Buffalo and the smaller plains antelope. The major predators such as Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild Dog and Hyena are regularly sighted. Activities include game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, night drives, and occasionally guided walks. One of the highlights of Kings Pool is its two hides overlooking the Kings Pool Lagoon where guests can enjoy watching the animals come down for drink.

Jao Camp is a private reserve on a large remote island, to the west of the Moremi in the heart of the Okavango Delta. During winter, water levels at Jao rise and the savannah areas become inundated with water where huge herds of Lechwe (antelope) can be found on the floodplains. Lion prides here are adept at hunting and drowning their prey in water. Leopards are often seen and Elephants are more prevalent at this time. During this time the focus at Jao switches more to water with fewer drives.

Mombo Camp is situated on Mombo Island, adjoining the northern tip of Chief's Island, within the Moremi Game Reserve in Okavango Delta. The island is surrounded by open floodplains and the camp itself is largely built in and around the shade of large mangosteen, ebony and fig trees, overlooking a gorgeous floodplain teeming with game. The highlight is great concentration of plains game and all the big cats. Lion, Leopard and large herds of Buffalo are commonly sighted.
